If you're going on a weekend, the New Mexico Rail Runner express now has the special Balloon Fiesta and rail pass. It's available both weekends, and there's a shuttle to and from the Los Ranchos Journal Center Station.

The pass includes admission to a morning or afternoon Balloon Fiesta session the day you take the rail runner.

You have to buy the passes online. You can't buy them on the train or at the Balloon Fiesta office. Adult passes are $25. It's 20 for seniors and children pay $12. Kids 5 years old and young ride free.

There's also the option to Uber. Uber says the best pick-up and drop-off location is at the Balloon Museum.
