ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Police are investigating two suspicious deaths that took place at separate locations in the city on Monday.

In the first incident, officers were called out to a shots-fired call during the day on the 200 block of Texas NE near Wyoming and Central. A neighbor told officers a projectile had entered her home from next door. When they arrived, they found the man dead.

Then police responded to another scene on the 1800 block of Bellamah in northwest Albuquerque Monday evening. APD also considered this a suspicious death, prompting a violent crimes callout.

APD Public Information Officer Simon Drobik said a man went to his apartment on Bellamah and found his friend dead. Police have ruled out suicide, but did not specify a cause of death.

Additional information was not available for either investigation.
