APD: Suspect wanted, charged with May 5 murder

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Albuquerque police issued an arrest warrant for a 59-year-old man wanted for a murder earlier this month.

According to APD officer Fred Duran, police charged Hector Gamboa with the May 5 murder of 54-year-old Blanca Renova on the on the 100 block of General Bradley NE near Wyoming and Central.

APD does not know where Gamboa is, but the department says Gamboa armed and dangerous.

"We ask that no one try and apprehend Gamboa and immediately call police," Duran said.

Other charges against Gamboa include tampering with evidence and bribery/intimidation of a witness.
