Albuquerque Tourism and Sightseeing Factory co-founders Mike Silva and Jesse Herron are always looking for the next opportunity to expand their business which they started just seven years ago.
“If you're an entrepreneur and a business owner you’re always at it, you’re always continuing to grow you're trying to find new things to make money,” Herron said.
Their newest venture starts with their brand new shuttle van.
“One of the things you can do in a lot of major cities is go down to the desk at the hotel and take a day trip...we now have that in ABQ,” Silva said.
The company is partnering with the Hotel Albuquerque offering day-long tour packages to the state’s capital city.
"We're offering our trip to Santa Fe called not your father's Santa Fe, and the goal of that is to attract a younger generation of folks," Silva said.
In just a few weeks the new tour will begin, leaving from the hotel early in the morning and returning in the evening.
“Checking out some great attractions like Meow Wolf, a little bit of time at the plaza, cruise Turquoise Trail, check out Tinkertown Museum and Madrid, just a really fun all-inclusive day with us,” Silva said.
The van can hold 11 people and the fee is $99 per person which includes attraction fees and food. The business owners say they are also expanding travel within Albuquerque as well.
“So if you’re coming with us to Santa Fe or doing Route 66 or going to the tram, it’s going to be on this sweet vehicle right here,” Herron said.
Herron said more destinations could be added in the future.
