ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- A pedestrian crossing Coors Bypass in northwest Albuquerque died Monday after being hit by a full-sized pickup truck, according to Albuquerque police.
In a Tuesday morning update, APD Public Information Officer Tanner Tixier said they have not yet identified the victim killed in the collision north of Seven Bar Loop, but the pedestrian died at the scene.
Officers do not believe either speed or alcohol played a factor on the driver's part, and they do not expect to charge the driver. Police also do not yet know the pedestrian's sobriety.
The crash caused traffic delays near Cottonwood Mall.
