ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Trial dates have been set for next year in two high-profile cases, one involving an accused cop killer and the other surrounding corruption charges against a former state senator.
Davon Lymon will stand trial on March 12 for the murder of Albuquerque Police Department Officer Daniel Webster. Police say Lymon shot and killed Webster during a traffic stop in October 2015.
Earlier this year, Lymon was sentenced to 18 years on federal gun charges.
Then on Sept. 24, former Democratic state Sen. Phil Griego will be tried for a second set of charges. A jury found Griego guilty of five public corruption charges earlier this year. He has yet to be sentenced.
