Letter carrier's food drive provides meaning to season of giving

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The holiday season is a time of giving, and letter carriers took that to heart across the city in collaboration with Roadrunner Food Bank as they picked up non-perishable food donations left in mailboxes.

It’s an annual goodwill initiative, one involving hundreds of hands organizing the food items before they are sent to hungry people in New Mexico.

Joy Wang visited one Albuquerque post office on Saturday to see what the initiative looks like firsthand, and talked to an organizer about what they hope to accomplish.
