Police: After crash in Albuquerque, woman thought she was in Santa Fe Web Staff

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- When she woke up, she thought she was in Santa Fe. She was actually in Albuquerque.


Police arrested Levon Tafoya after getting into a crash Wednesday afternoon near San Antonio and I-25. Police say she fled the scene and pulled into a nearby parking lot.

Police say they found Tafoya sleeping in her car. When she woke up, she said reportedly told police she had no idea she was in a crash and she thought she was in Santa Fe.

Police say Tafoya admitted to having two drinks in the morning. According to court documents, Tafoya blew over three times the legal limit.

Police say they also found a 4-year-old girl in the back seat. Tafoya now faces child abuse charges.
