ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – While students across New Mexico are getting ready to go back to school, crews in downtown Albuquerque are racing to get a new set of dorms ready.

KOB was able to get a sneak peek inside the all-new Lobo Rainforest, located at Central and Broadway, and its 310 beds on Friday.

In just a matter of weeks, the halls and rooms of the new living space will be bustling with students moving in for the fall semester. Only certain students are allowed to apply to live in the building, including upper classmen and Innovation Academy scholars.

As far as safety, University of New Mexico officials say campus police will patrol the area, and the building will have its own security.
