ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – What started as an argument between an Albuquerque couple escalated into a man allegedly attacking police.

APD says they have arrested John Paul Sena after an apparent brawl at Candelaria and San Mateo. Police say they were trying to get Sena in handcuffs for attacking his girlfriend when he tried to run.

Officers caught up to him, and witnesses say Sena tried to strangle the cop with his own lapel camera cord.

KOB has learned that Sena will be released on his own reconizance.
