Police looking for suspect following shooting at Chevron station Friday evening

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputies say one person is injured and another on the loose after a robbery and shooting Friday night at a Chevron gas station on Paradise and Unser.

The incident occurred around 7:40 p.m. Deputies say the victim, who is in his 50s, was shot in the groin and later taken to UNM Hospital to be treated for his injuries. BCSO Captain Craig Sevier also says the suspect, a Hispanic male, fled the scene by foot.

The incident follows a similar robbery and subsequent shooting situation Friday morning at an Albuquerque Heights Circle K that left two injured.
