ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Police say an Albuquerque man landed behind bars after the phone he stole from a local game store turned out to be a tracking device.

A criminal complaint states Ramon Ornelas took an iPhone 6 box from the Game Stop on Zuni Road. It turns out the box was just a decoy, and there was only a tracking device inside.

Police tracked Ornelas' car down to a nearby apartment complex. When police arrived, they say a woman, Destiny Salas Lujan, and two young children were inside the car with him.

Both Ornelas and Lujan were arrested for conspiracy and child abuse.
