The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating the death of a man at the Lomas and Eubank Circle K Sunday night as a possible homicide.

Police say they responded to reports that two men were fighting at the Circle K convenience store at Lomas and Eubank boulevards.

Somehow that fight moved into the street.

When officers arrived, they found a body on the westbound lane of Lomas right before Eubank.

"It was a disturbance call that it came out and as we arrived on scene, we found a male in the street," said APD officer Simon Drobik.  "We had a couple of witnesses give us a good description of who the offender was that caused harm to this male, and that's how it unfolded."

Police arrested the suspect about five blocks south of the Circle K.

The suspect was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are still looking into how exactly the victim died.
