ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Rail Runner authorities say commuter rail service between Bernalillo and Santa Fe was suspended for several hours as state police investigate an accident between the train and a person officials say was lying on the tracks.

Rail Runner officials say the incident occurred with the #502 train at a gated private crossing at the border of the San Felipe and Santo Domingo pueblos. Twenty-seven people were on that train.

Rail Runner officials say the next scheduled train (#504) train had already left, and those passengers were bussed to Santa Fe.

The trains have resumed their normal schedule.
