ALBUQUERQUE, N.M -- The Albuquerque Police Officers Association's Santa Patrol is underway again.

The annual campaign aims to provide toys to underprivileged kids who officers meet while on duty. This year, they're taking things a step further.

The association is partnering with Beds 4 Kidz, an organization KOB's Steve Stucker created that provides beds to families that don't have them. Police are collecting new twin and full sized bed sheets and pillows, as well as "bed in a bag" packages.

"It's a tough time of year to be cold," Stucker said. "And this is just something that is so special to the kids and their families. It's really an easy way to get into the holiday spirit."

You can drop off donations at any APD substation or you can donate on the Beds 4 Kidz website.
