ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- A flight that began in New Mexico ended with tragedy in Missouri.

A small plane bounced off the canopy of a gas station near St. Louis Wednesday before crashing to the ground. The pilot was killed.

Officials say the plane had taken off from Albuquerque and intended to land at the St Louis airport.

The plane is owned by a Nevada-based company.
