ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico State Fair may have been over for a few weeks, but numbers are just now being released on how successful it was.

Just over 462,000 people attended this year’s fair, according to New Mexico State Fair organizers. That’s down from last year, but organizers say it represents an increase from the five-year average of 454,000 attendees.

Some other interesting figures from this year’s fair…

  • 20,000 turkey legs were eaten.
  • 4,500 people used Uber to get to the fair, a 12 percent increase from last year.
  • Just over 24,000 people attended the New Mexico State Fair concert-rodeo series.
