Teen fighting for life after shooting in southwest Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A teenager is in critical condition following a shooting in southwest Albuquerque late Tuesday night.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the intersection of Gun Club and Kirk around 10 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a gunshot victim.  When deputies arrived they found a 15-year-old male in the back seat of a car suffering from a gunshot wound.

The teen was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information on this incident is asked to call detectives at (505) 967-5615.
