Two dead after overnight shooting at ABQ church Web Staff

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Albuquerque Police Department officials said two people died after an incident that occurred late Friday night.


Police were responding to a call around 11 p.m. of shots fired at the New Beginnings Church near Montgomery and Carlisle. When they arrived, they saw vehicles speeding away from the area. One person was dead from gunshot wounds when police arrived, and another later died, also due to gunshot wounds. 

The incident is being treated as a double homicide by investigators. Anyone with information should call 242-COPS.
