Round One Goes To The Lobos

The New Mexico Lobos showed the Aggies how to score the basketball and how to defend the basketball when it counts. New Mexico opened the game by burning up the nets. 64-percent from the field and 58-percent from the 3-point stripe. New Mexico had a 16-point lead at the break and they would need it as the Aggies stormed back into the game and even took the lead. The Lobos showed poise and they found a go to player in Roman Martinez down the stretch. He made big play after big play in the final 5-minutes of the game. Phillip McDonald came of age hitting career high 27-points and Darington Hobson Played another all around game.
