Shayai Lucero says residents and businesses are filling containers with water from other sources.
Laguna Pueblo, located about an hour west of Albuquerque along Interstate 40, was without water Sunday night. A representative with the Laguna Development Corporation says there is some kind of leak that crews cannot find.

Water was also reported to be out in the communities of New Laguna and Casa Blanca.

Laguna Elementary and Middle schools will be closed on Monday because of the problem.

One flower shop owner says water stopped flowing on Friday and has been impacting businesses and residents since.

Shayai Lucero says only a couple of villages in Laguna have water, so some people are having to drive to fill containers.

The water shut-off is also making it tough to handle the heat, Lucero said.

She said pueblo residents haven't gotten any official word on when the problem could be fixed.

Dancing Eagle Casino is also hit by the outage. Officials say water is being trucked in so the casino can stay open.
