An Albuquerque-based organization is planning to hire 50 new workers soon.

The Mind Research Network says it's getting nearly $36 million in grants this year, which will create about 50 new positions—mostly research associates and technicians.

The jobs will be posted on MRN's Web site in a few months.

The Mind Research Network was established by retired Senator Pete Domenici 11 years ago.

The company researches mental illnesses, brain injuries, and disease to find better ways to diagnose and treat those conditions.
