I recently heard a priest say to his congregation, “One of my parishioners told me I should start mass with a novena (prayer) in the hopes the Lobo football team wins a game.” The priest added, “I told them it should be a prayer to St. Jude, the Patron Saint of Lost Causes.”
True story.
