A Los Lunas judge is hearing arguments about Union County cult leader Wayne Bent, who says he is on a religious fast.

Bent, 68, is serving 10 years at the Los Lunas prison for molesting a teenage follower. Prison officials say bent went from eating one meal a day earlier this month to only drinking water.

Bent says he is on a religious fast, but a judge could force him to eat if his weight drops too much.

Eyewitness News 4 has a crew in Los Lunas and will pass along any decision as soon as it comes down.
