UNM quarterback B.R. Holbrook has mononucleosis and will not play Saturday against NMSU.  Donovan Porterie will start and Brad Gruner is the backup.  The Lobos have been blasting the NMSU fight song over the speakers at practice this week to simulate a high level of noise.

The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) announced a four year deal with UNM to bring the Ty Murray Invitational to the Pit starting in March 2010.

Former Albuquerque Thunderbirds guard Will Conroy signed with Houston.  He’ll head to training camp next week.  Conroy averaged over 26 ppg last season.
