GALLUP, N.M. (AP) - State police say a 21-year-old Gallup man has died after the pickup truck he was driving was struck by a drunk driver.

Scott Costley died Thursday night at an Albuquerque hospital, where he had been since the crash Wednesday evening.

Investigators say Costley was traveling south through a Gallup intersection when his truck was hit by a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Daryl Begay of Window Rock, Ariz. Begay was not injured in the crash.

Begay was originally booked into the McKinley County jail on charges of DWI, motor vehicle crash resulting in great bodily harm and open container. An amended charge of vehicular homicide was filed Friday morning.
