On Monday morning, Santa Fe lawyer Carlos Fierro is expected to take the stand in his deadly hit-and-run trial.

He was going to take the stand Friday afternoon, but the judge decided to let jurors take a weekend break before hearing Fierro's testimony.

Prosecutors say Fierro's blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit when he struck and killed William Tenorio with his car last November, then tried to drive away.

The defense is arguing that there was poor lighting on Guadalupe Street the night of the crash.
