Religious group makes appeal for environment

Local faith and business leaders joined environmental activists Thursday to demand action on climate change.
They call themselves “New Mexico Interfaith Power and Light.” They presented more than 1,000 outlines of hands to the offices of Sens. Tom Udall and Jeff Bingaman. They are dubbing the project “Hands Across New Mexico.”
The event happened the same day a climate projection was introduced in the U.S. Senate.
