J.R. Giddens Gets Ready For Season 2

Monday night former Lobo basketball player J.R. Giddens was on 770am KKOB with Scott Stiegler. Giddens is getting ready for his second season with the Boston Celtics. Giddens only played in 6 games last season (scoring 4 points in 8 minutes of work) and bounced back and forth between Boston and the team's NBA Development League roster in Utah. Giddens thinks his chances of getting more playing time are better this year. "I think I'm more mature than I was my rookie season. I'm more acclimated to the speed of the NBA game," said Giddens. "I sat down and talked with Mr. Ainge and have a better understanding of what they want me to do." Giddens spent the off-season training in Boston working on his flexibility, "I'm sure I'll get more minutes this year than I did last year. They'll see that I'm more dedicated to helping the organization win games."
