Have you ever put on a pair of pants you haven’t worn in a while, reached into the pocket and found a couple of dollars? It’s a nice surprise. Well, that’s nothing compared to what Larry Brooks of Moriarty found two weeks ago.
Brooks bought a set of old golf clubs in Albuquerque for $5, and in the bag pocket he found the gold coin awarded to Lloyd Mangrum for 3rd place in the 1940 U.S. Masters.
Brooks says he is baffled how the coin ended up in an old golf bag in Albuquerque.
