CHIMAYO, N.M. (AP) - A popular and historic restaurant in the Espanola area is open again, 14 months after being shut down by a fire.

Rancho de Chimayo has a new kitchen and gift shop, but little else has changed.

The owners say they made a conscious effort to preserve memories for customers.

Diners are still greeted by rough-plastered, straw-flecked adobe walls, hanging red chile ristras and bronze sculptures.
