Garduno's cannot operate until it settles a dispute over back taxes, a judge ruled

A judge has ordered the popular New Mexican restaurant chain Garduno's to stop operating until it has settled a dispute over back taxes it owes the state.

Judge Daniel Sanchez issued the injunction against Garduno's Tuesday. The injunction will go into effect once the judge signs it and it is filed in court.

The state says Garduno's owes $750,000.
