A lockdown has been lifted at two northeast Albuquerque schools.

Students weren't being allowed to leave Jackson Middle School or Acoma Elementary School, which were put on lockdown around 3:30 this afternoon. APS lifted the restrictions just before 5:00 p.m.

School officials say the lockdown was put into effect because police were looking for a burglary suspect in the area.
