Tall Search: Britain seeks height for 2016 Games

(AP) LONDON - Britain is looking for tall talent ahead of the 2016 Rio Games.
UK Sport and the English Institute of Sport have launched an initiative called Talent 2016 to attract tall but inexperienced athletes between the ages of 15 and 22.
They’re looking for tall athletes for rowing and basketball. Males must be at least 6-foot-3 and females at least 5-foot-11.
Olympic hopefuls meeting the age and height requirements need only have participated in regional competitions of any sport to be eligible for the online signup.
Successful applicants will be invited to one of five test events in January.
A similar initiative 2 1/2 years ago helped identify athletes for the 2012 London Olympics.
