CLOVIS, N.M. (AP) - A Clovis man has been arrested on charges of sexual exploitation of children.

The Curry County Sheriff's Office said 20-year-old Jeremy J. Montano turned himself in Wednesday to investigators and was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bond.

Montano is charged with five counts of possession of child pornography.

Undersheriff Wesley Waller said an investigation of Montano began Aug. 26, when it was determined he was, "actively trading child pornography in public file sharing programs on the Internet."

Waller said images were found after Montano's computer was seized.

Waller said Montano admitted during an interview he had downloaded, watched and viewed pornographic movies and images of children engaged in sexual activity.
