Police arrested Kristy Sanchez-Trujillo on Wednesday night, and parents who have children at the school say they are outraged.
Students were sent home with a note this afternoon telling parents about a meeting that Albuquerque Public Schools will be holding on Friday for parents who have questions or concerns.
Parent Michelle Vigil said Thursday, "It's very disgusting and I'm just appalled. I'm grossed out."
Vigil has a son who attends the school.
On Wednesday night, 33-year-old, former social studies teacher Kristy Sanchez-Trujillo was arrested and charged with having sex with one of her 13-year-old students.
Nobody answered the door at Sanchez-Trujillo's home on Thursday.
Parents say they can't understand what the woman was thinking.
"I'm 32 and my daughter is 13, and it's just like your own child," parent Yssenia De La Cruz said. "It's just like your own child. He's just a child and she's an adult, she should know better."
Court documents show that Sanchez-Trujillo told police that she took the boy to the movies twice.
She said she would drive him to their "spot" at the Petroglyph National Monument where they would have sex in the back seat of her car.
She described the boy to police as "a 25-year-old in a 13-year-old's body."
APS has already fired Sanchez-Trujillo.
The parents' meeting will be held on Friday night at 6 p.m. at Jimmy Carter Middle School.
Only parents are invited to attend.
