Northeast Albuquerque school locked down briefly

An elementary school in northeast Albuquerque was locked down for about 45 minutes today after a suspicious person was seen on the campus.

McCollum Elementary, located near Lomas and Eubank NE, was locked down around 2:30 p.m., according to Albuquerque Public Schools. The lockdown was lifted around 3:15 p.m.

It is not known if the suspicious person was armed.

No suspect was found in a search of the school's grounds.
