State police report 2 killed in traffic accident

HOBBS, N.M. (AP) - A rollover accident Saturday has claimed two lives in Hobbs.
The state police identify the victims as 44-year-old Javier Grijalva and 30-year-old Monica Najera of Hobbs.
Investigators said a pickup driven by Grijalva was traveling northbound on World Drive at a high rate of speed. The truck went off the roadway and Grijalva overcorrected, drove into loose dirt and rolled the vehicle several times.
Both Grijalva and Najera were ejected and were pronounced dead at the scene.
