Albuquerque police were investigating a homicide in Northeast Albuquerque Saturday.
Police say a man was found bleeding outside an apartment complex early Saturday morning and was taken to a where he died.
Police say the man was found around 2 a.m., Saturday at the Rock Creek Apartments near Comanche and Lafayette.
A neighbor called police when he opened his apartment door and found the man unconscious and bleeding.
The neighbor told police there was a lot of yelling outside the apartments earlier in the night— before he found the man outside his door.
APD Spokeswoman Nadine Hamby said, "It’s looking as if he had blunt trauma. It's unclear how he got those, violent crimes team was called out."
Police say the man, who is in his 20s, was taken to UNM Hospital, where he later died from the trauma.
Police say the victim is a resident of that apartment complex, but his identity has not been released.
No suspects have been named.
