ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Wyoming has sold more than its allotment of tickets for Saturday's New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque.

Athletic Department spokesman Tim Harkins said UW had sold about 4,200 tickets as of Friday, exceeding the 4,166 tickets it was allotted.

The university had sold about 3,000 tickets as of the beginning of the week. That prompted the Athletic Department to send an e-mail to donors encouraging the purchase of more tickets.

The university also encouraged supporters to buy extra tickets for donations to Kirtland Air Force Base near Albuquerque.

The Cowboys play Fresno State in the New Mexico Bowl at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
