UNM men's basketball coach Steve Alford says he is close to releasing the schedule for the upcoming season. This year's schedule will include 15 or 16 home games.
The Lobos will play the Aggies twice (Nov.16 and Dec.28) along with home games against Idaho State, Missouri State and Montana State. Former Utah Ute head coach Rick Majerus will make a return trip to the Pit with St. Louis.
The Lobos will travel to Arizona State in November, along with road trips to USC and Oklahoma City to play Oklahoma State.
Alford said Texas Tech and new head coach Billy Gillespie opted out of their game with UNM. Don't expect the Lobos to play UTEP anytime soon. Alford told Scott Stiegler of 770 KKOB, "The UTEP game is something I'm not in favor of."
