A political action committee associated with Gov. Susana Martinez is faced with an ethics complaint brought by Santa Fe Mayor David Coss.

Coss, a Democrat, has asked the New Mexico Secretary of State and Attorney General to immediately investigate the “Reform New Mexico Now” PAC that’s been associated with Gov. Martinez.

Democrats and state Legislature candidates Jack Sullivan and Eleanor Chavez also say they will file complaints.

They claim Reform New Mexico did not register their PAC in time, after getting large checks from two oil and gas companies.

The PAC later issued an amended campaign report that moved the registration date for the PAC back by one month.

Reform New Mexico told KOB on Monday that the PAC is “in complete compliance with the law…this is a frivolous complaint by David Coss.”
