Bernalillo County commissioner Wiener loses primary to challenger

Controversial Bernalillo County commissioner Michael Weiner has been solidly defeated by challenger Lonnie Talbert.
Wiener has been plagued by calls for his resignation since our 4 On Your Side investigation revealed a picture of him taken in a red light district in the Phillippines.
Wiener has denied any wrongdoing – but that picture may have been his demise.
He lost his seat by a wide margin to Talbert, who talked to KOB about the support he’s gotten.
"With endorsements for Governor Martinez, Mayor Richard Berry and the ABQ Journal - those are great starting points as well the voters having confidence in what we want to accomplish and what they believe the changes that need to be made in Bernalillo,” Talbert said. “I think it's good timing as well as hard work."
