Eltsosie is player of the year

Volcano Vista's Katera Eltsosie was named the Gatorade New Mexico Softball Player of the Year. The award recognizes athletic excellence, academic achievement and good character.
Eltsosie helped lead the Hawks to the state championship. The senior pitcher posted a 16-0 record with a 1.51 ERA. She also batted .496 with 12 home runs and 55 RBI's.
She plans to pitch for Lubbock Christian University in the fall.
