It's tea time in this week's Best Bites.

The Mes Amis teahouse in Nob Hill, on Silver near Bryn Mawr, serves up tea and delicious bites to eat -and it's also teaching little girls etiquette and lessons in history.

"The girls come and live different historical periods and this week the girls are learning about the Victorian era," says owner Michelle Otterness.

The teahouse also offers day camps focusing on the Colonial era as well as the 1900's to the present.

While learning history, the girls also get lessons in tea time etiquette, like not doing what's called "frog eyes" over your tea cup.

Otterness explains to the girls:

"So when you drink your tea and you're talking to a friend, it's best to look into your cup and take a sip and then look up when you talk to a friend because if you try to look up while you're drinking your tea, this is what happens you look a little like frog eyes."

Along with a wide selection of teas from around the world, Mes Amis will serve up French afternoon tea.

It's a three-tier tray with savories, like cucumber rosettes and croissants, starting at the bottom.

The middle section has scones with cream and lemon curd.

Some sweets, like cream puffs and merengues, top it all off.

For a bigger appetite, there are more filling items, like the turkey with green chile croissant.
