If you want to check out a public fireworks display this 4th of July, you'll have a lot to choose from.
In Albuquerque, Isotopes Park will have a fireworks display after the game.

Also in Albuquerque, there's Freedom Fourth at Balloon Fiesta Park. The free event starts at 3 p.m. and includes live music, family entertainment and food vendors.

To get to Freedom Fourth, city officials are urging people to use Park and Ride. You can catch a ride at two different locations; St. Pius High School on the West Side or at the Macy's parking lot at Coronado Center. Buses will pick people up from 3 to 8 p.m. The cost is $1 for adults and 35 cents for seniors and children. Kids 9 and under ride free. Return trips to the Park and Ride locations will begin immediately after the conclusion of the fireworks show, with the last bus leaving the park at 11 p.m.
In Rio Rancho, there will be a parade, a celebration of the Declaration of Independence, a flag football tournament, veterans recognition and finally, a free fireworks show at Rio Rancho High School.

In Los Lunas, there will be events beginning at 4 p.m., culminating with a fireworks display at Daniel Fernandez Park.
In Socorro, there will be music and events all day, ending with a free fireworks show on the campus of New Mexico Tech at dusk.

Corrales will have a 4th of July parade Wednesday morning, followed by a family fun day at La Entrada Park with live music and food, and squirt gun battles (no fireworks show).
