"Cyberbullying" and "sexting" will now be covered under Farmington high school handbooks.

Officials said the old handbooks only covered bullying, and with more technology in and out of the classrooms, the school district said it's taking a proactive approach to cover the issues.

"It seems fine to me. i mean those are things that shouldn't be happening," parent Barbara Keller said. "You know the parents should have a big role in doing a lot of this but then--you know--some parents don't."

The new handbooks will be approved during an August school board meeting.
