A recent paint job on an Albuquerque bridge is already peeling.

Last summer, the City of Albuquerque contracted Bob's Painting, and paid more than $120,000 for the paint job that covered 55,000 square feet across the Montano Bridge.

It was re-painted for the first time in 14 years, but just one year later, the clear coat over the paint is flaking and falling off.

The City said it is covered by a 10-year warranty.

Bob's Painting is trying to determine why the clear coat is not sticking, and is currently testing some different products to determine what will work best.
