University of New Mexico quarterback B.R. Holbrook left practice for the second straight day with a shortness of breath and tightness in his chest and shoulder area.  Holbrook left training camp in Ruidoso on Wednesday afternoon and returned to Albuquerque for a medical evaluation.

Holbrook is expected to be the starting quarterback for the Lobos this season.  He is the only quarterback on the roster with Division One experience.

The senior from California has a 57.3 career completion percentage, to rank third all-time in Lobo history.  He played in 11 games in 2011, starting the final eight.  Last season he came off the bench through the first four games, but was named the starter in week five.  On the year, Holbrook completed 141 of 236 passes for 1,490 yards with four touchdowns and seven interceptions.
