Ryan Trujillo was back at practice with the UNM football team.  He left the program during the offseason following his arrest after an altercation with his girlfriend.

Back in January, the Albuquerque Police Department arrested Trujillo after he reportedly pepper sprayed his girlfriend.  Ryan Trujillo attacked his girlfriend after the two reportedly engaged in an argument at a local restaurant. Trujillo’s girlfriend reportedly followed him to the parking lot after he walked out of the restaurant with her car keys. That’s when he reportedly hit her in the face with pepper spray that was on her key chain, police said. Trujillo was booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center and charged with battery on a household member.

He was released on his own recognizance.

Trujillo is from Albuquerque and graduated at Manzano High School.

In 2011, he was named the Gatorade New Mexico High School Player of the Year.
